about

Jonatan was situated at the city library in Stockholm while finding himself in the need of a quick break from the studies. With the rehearsal space conveniently located across the street from this library and Peter being a tad early for a rehearsal with the badass thrash-machine that is Chainsaw it was the perfect time for a quick jam. J grabbed his 7-string and just plugged it in. Within minutes the main-riff / chorus of OMD was done. In this early version the verses relied on a fast d-beat type drumbeat (as in The Shakedown or Octane 10).

Just a couple of days later Antonio went by Js homestudio to share some ideas. This ideas played perfectly with the previously written main-hook and the song basically wrote itself.

An easy-to-grasp uptempo semi-stoner semi-grunge semi-metal rocksong - perfect abum-opener.

lyrics

River turned red
Let me drown right in it
But you can't look into whats said
Goddamn!

Have you found what you seek?
Is this the antidote
to the poison that you speak?
This time!

Not gonna wait
One Million Days
Not gonna say
I'm gone today

Not gonna wait
One Million Days
Not gonna say
Be gone today

Head heavy as led
Let me bury you right with it
But you can't look into whats said
Goddamn!

Is this deafening?
Remember your damn words
Its a poison that you forget
This time!

You keep pulling me down
You keep wrecking this up
You want to keep on turning
- this is why you wanna get it

Not gonna wait
One Million Days
Not gonna say
I'm gone today

Not gonna wait
One Million Days
Not gonna say
Be gone today
